Residents of Crete are invited to join representatives from the U.S. Embassy Athens on Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4, 2019, as they provide Consular, Federal Benefits and Immigration services at the Municipal building on 2 Androgeo Str., Iraklio. Services will include accepting passport applications for persons NOT eligible for mail-in application services, documenting children’s births in Greece to U.S. citizen parent(s), and providing limited notarial services.
Passport and Citizenship Services will be available on Wednesday, April 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., ONLY through a pre-arranged appointment. See below for information on how to schedule your appointment.
Immigration Services will include accepting petitions for qualified immediate relatives on a walk-in basis, without a prior appointment, on Wednesday, April 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A Federal Benefits representative will answer questions on Wednesday, April 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A prior appointment is not required.
Passports & Reports of Birth Abroad services - Available by appointment only:
Passport applicants can expect to receive their completed passports about a month after applying. Appointments are not available in Crete for applicants who are qualified to use application Form DS-82, as these services are available by mail.
